About Our Med Management Providers

Dr. Nina Abul-Husn, MD is an established and highly regarded physician providing mental health and addiction services in the Treasure Valley community. She is known to her patients as a warm and caring provider who treats them with compassion and understanding, offering non-judgmental support. Dr. Nina came to Idaho to complete her training with the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho. She has practiced full-scope family medicine for many years and became dual board certified in Addiction Medicine, earning numerous accolades for her quality and patient-centered care.

Dr. Nina Abul-Husn, MD is a Full-Scope, Dual Board-Certified, Family Medicine physician and is a Board-Certified Addiction Medicine Specialist. Dr. Nina specializes in:

Medical:

  • diabetes: general management, oral and injectable medications, A1c management
  • thyroid disease: hypo or hyperthyroidism, Grave’s disease
  • kidney disease: kidney stones, kidney insufficiency, kidney damage
  • lung disease; asthma, COPD, respiratory infections
  • liver disease: hepatitis A, B, and C infections and treatment; cirrhosis, alcoholic liver disease and damage, fatty liver disease
  • blood disorders: anemia
  • vitamin deficiencies, electrolyte disturbances: vitamin D deficiency, calcium deficiency, sodium/potassium monitoring

Cassi Shelly, NP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience. Cassi received a B.S. in Nursing from Columbia University and an M.S. from Idaho State University. While working as a family NP, Cassi enjoyed devoting special attention to addiction medicine, mental health, and transgender care; this led her to pursue a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner degree from University of New Hampshire. She now works exclusively in mental health and addiction medicine at Trivium Life Services, where she is currently accepting new patients and would welcome any new patient referrals.

Cassi Shelly, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-C is both a board-certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric  mental health nurse practitioner.

Population focus: ages 12 and older

  • Addiction treatment for nicotine dependence, alcohol use disorder, opioid use disorder, stimulant use disorder, and more
