In recognition of Overdose Awareness Day on August 31st, Trivium employees attended an event hosted by The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. The event took place outside the Idaho Capital building, 353 chairs were placed on the Capitol steps with each empty chair representing an Idaho resident who died from a drug overdose in 2021.

Idaho Gov. Brad Little kicked off the event with a proclamation signing ceremony and remarks about the overdose epidemic in Idaho. The event also featured speakers from state agencies and community members including Trivium's Therapist Team Coordinator Amy McKenzie, LCPC, ACADC.

"We at Trivium Life Services are helping, but I believe the State of Idaho must make a far greater commitment to dealing with the realities of mental health care and the very real issue of the future of drug use in our ever growing state" said Amy during her speech.
