The Iowa Association of Community Providers honored two Trivium employees, Sarah Bierce and Bobbie Smith, with a Community Builder Award for being outstanding frontline supervisors.

The awards were presented virtually on May 12, 2021 by IACP CEO Shelly Chandler. A recording of the presentation is available online at

Sarah is a Residential Team Coordinator in Missouri Valley and Bobbie holds the same position in Council Bluffs. Both women have been instrumental to Trivium’s success throughout the pandemic — our staff and clients are lucky to have them!

To keep her team motivated, Bobbie started including special messages to her staff.

“I love inspirational quotes and have included them on every communication that I have sent to my team since the pandemic started,” she said. “This is one of my favorite quotes and I feel it has true meaning, especially in the last year:

‘When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.’ — Peter Marshall”

Congratulations to Bobbie and Sarah!
